Under our Learning Management System the modes for learning and instruction shall be flexible learning programs intended to secure the safety, health and well-being of our students, aligned with the DepEd prescribed curriculum and aimed at reaching the best learning potential of each of our students as per the objectives of our institution’s Southwoods Initiative which is a more modern and fully digitized approach.
Parents may have the option to decide the best learning implementation for their children. As all our programs have full digital capabilities, we at Southwoods has developed the following flexible learning approaches for parents to choose from.
Blended Learning Program
Home-Study or Distance Learning Program
The Blended Learning Program is a "new normal approach" which is both flexible and fully digitized. This program shall be a combination of the following components:
Twice-a-week In-School Learning Classes
Interactive Virtual Classrooms
Online Class Programs
Student-Parent-Teacher Consultation
In-School Physical Distancing and Safety Regulations
The Southwoods blended approach is a more modern approach where students interact in both in-school and virtual classrooms with their respective subject teachers under the super- vision of their class adviser.
Our specialized Home-Study or Distance Learning Program is a more modern approach to the traditional self-study home-school course. This program shall be a combination of the following components:
Limited and Scheduled Interaction with Home Study Adviser
Individually Assigned Home-Study Adviser
Interactive Virtual Classrooms
Online Class Programs
Home Study Adviser and Parental Training and Consultation
With the Southwoods program, home study students may enter and join our interactive virtual classrooms and participate in online classes. The only difference is that they shall be assigned with their individual home-study adviser with no physical interaction with their fellow students and interaction with their Home-Study Adviser shall be appointment-based.
Our Academic Blueprint for SY 2020 - 2021 is a product of our Institution's careful study and analysis of our current safety and health conditions with utmost emphasis and consideration on the achievement of a better learning experience and domain for our learners and with great care for their safety and well-being.
